10/3/15- food, diet, workout, running challenge- trying to keep it clean, 9 days

Friday: I made it the whole day without eating any of the candy in the boss’s office. Another first!!! I’m really trying to keep my diet clean for the next 9 days. As clean as possible. No candy!! God help me!
Only 8 days till my 1st 5k.

Saturday: I made it yesterday, now working on today, trying to keep it clean, no junky junk. There are a few foods that I do eat that are not totally clean but I don’t want to give up. One is a Special K protein meal bars. 10 grams of protein and only 170 calories. I eat this mid morning. Chobani Greek yogurt, I like it with lunch or mid afternoon. 12 grams protein and 100 calories. Crystal light strawberry drink mix, because it has caffeine and makes water taste better.  Splenda, because that’s just what they have at work. Turkey Bacon- the gluten free, no GMO, no preservatives kind…sort of  clean. Otherwise, its egg whites, meat, veggies, sweet potatoes, peanut butter, and whey. I’m not much of a fruit eater, I save that for pre or post workouts. I hardly ever eat bread, and never eat pasta.


This would be my typical lunch, especially when I’m at work, meat and veggies, the meat that I grill on my days off and frozen vegetables. At home, this is usual dinner.
Now, mind you, this is when I’m being really good and trying hard, and working out.
Well, its not near as hard as it used to be, and it seems that I do good more often than bad.


My favorite good snacks; celery, peanut butter, and Pistachio’s or almonds. My favorite bad cheat snack is ice cream or anything chocolate.
I’m still lifting, but did skip a couple of days because we are tearing down the bathroom…. Like totally gutting it, ceiling to floor, and that is hard work, not really that easy like on HGTV. Trust me!
I haven’t ran since Tuesday. I did 3.5 miles in 40 minutes. I’m going to lift tonight and run tomorrow.
