9/26/15 food, workout, running challenge- i’m still in it

Well, I can’t say I’ve been doing a great job lately, but I sure have been trying. It seems that the last week of the month are the hardest for me to get through. For 3 days of this week, I was hungry, bloated, tired, back achy, and I just wanted to eat everything I could get my hands on. Does anyone else have this problem?

I did run yesterday, it was rough cause I was so full of bad, sugary, poisonous carbs.     However, I did 5.5 miles in 1:08. I was able to run for 7 minutes straight without walking, I did this twice, the rest of the time I did 3:4 walking/running intervals. The longer runtimes are getting a little easier. I ate only a banana, a cheesestick, coffee, water, and 1/2 Monster Java, before running. When I got back, I ate Quaker weight control oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder and the rest of my Java Monster. Later, I ate a Special K, protein meal bar. For dinner I had Strip steak, a spinach salad, and 5 asparagus spears. I then did my weights later, chest and tri’s. I was able to bench 80 Lbs 4, 3, 3. Then I went down to 70 then 60, for a variable number of reps (as many as I could) and did inclines and declines. I was happy with that. After workout I had All natural turkey, mozzarella cheese and celery with peanut butter. I’d say it was a pretty good day after 3 bad days. Well, I did do biceps and back,  the night before.

Tonight, after work, I’m exhausted…no workout tonight. Just a blog and then bedtime. Oh, and partially listening to my husband talk about how he’s gonna redo the bathroom, and insulation, and venting, and fan something, something. I just nod and say “yah” every now and then.

Shoulders tomorrow, I can’t let them down.
