9/21/15-diet, calorie, workout challenge – a new challenge has erupted

Hey, yah, its been a week since I last posted, but nothing much has changed. I’ve been doing well with the food and since I pretty much eat the same food everyday, I haven’t really been keeping track of calories. I must be doing something right because I lost 3 more pounds. Down to 137. I wasn’t really trying to lose weight, just fat. Hopefully its all fat that’s been lost. I’ve managed to keep it off for a week. I don’t think I’ll gain it back. I will measure again on the 26th. I did make some high protein paleo pancakes this morning. Haven’t ever done that before. I have still been working on my weights and running. I was able to bench 80 pounds 3 times, after doing 60 pounds 10 times. So that’s a little progress. I ran 5.24 miles today and was able to run my intervals of 4 minutes, walk 3 for the whole time. I did run for a whole 6 minutes for 1 interval. My average pace for 1:04 was down to 12.16. Fastest so far. I don’t know how I will ever be able to run a total of 10 minutes. I just can’t breathe anymore after so long. And another thing that’s slowing me down…Wellwpid-img_20150921_180726351.jpg I hate to show this ugly picture but its pretty debilitating and well its the only way to show what I’m talking about. I have a bunion an have now developed a blister to add to the pain. And I even had a foam dressing on it to try to keep it protected. It pisses me off cause I paid good money for my shoes and I didn’t have this problem until the last 3 or 4 runs. I did, however, see a video about how to tape my bunion to realign my toes. So I will be getting some TK tape soon. I could get surgery to fix my foot, it would solve many problems. But that would mean 6 weeks off my foot. I don’t know if its worth it.

Anyways, I’m not giving up, I’ll do what I gotta do to keep trying to reach my goals.

My first goal is to be able to run either a whole mile without stopping or run 10 minutes without stopping. I’d like to be able to do this by the end of October. My 2nd goal is to bench 100 pounds, by the end of November. I will try to get it done sooner but we will see. Without a trainer or a spotter, well I’m on my own.
